It is the monthly newsletter issued by (RAED) with the support of the Mediterranean Environment Program for Capacity Building and the Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility. This newsletter contributes to the formation of Arab environmental awareness through what it publishes on environmental issues in the Arab world and environmental conferences at the national, regional and Mediterranean levels. Sending this bulletin to environmental associations, civil society organizations, media professionals, and specialists in the field of the environment in all Arab countries, in addition to those interested in environmental affairs within the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Arab Civil Society Statement – COP 16
The Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED) has submitted the statement of Arab civil society organizations to the Presidency of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP 16), held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from December 2 to 13, 2024.
Members of RAED, as representatives of civil society in Arab countries, expressed their deep concern over the escalating challenges facing the Arab region due to worsening desertification, drought, and land degradation. These pressing issues necessitate urgent collective action at the national, regional, and international levels.
