The Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED) serves as the Focal Point for the PPI-OSCAN 3 program (Programme of Small Initiatives for Civil Society Organizations in North Africa) in Egypt for the period 2024-2025.
The PPI-OSCAN program aims to strengthen civil society in North Africa by supporting emerging associations that seek to address environmental and sustainable development challenges through innovative initiatives in the region.

Program Phases and Geographic Expansion
PPI-OSCAN 3 is the third phase of the program, which was first launched in 2014 to support civil society organizations in North Africa through implementing on-the-ground projects and capacity-building activities.
The program was implemented in Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia during the 2021-2024 period. Also, Egypt joined in 2024.
Program Objectives:
Developing the capacities of emerging civil society organizations (CSOs) in four North African countries to enhance their effective contribution to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
Enhancing the internal structure of CSOs to ensure their sustainability and efficiency.
Building strong partnerships between CSOs, national governments, and international organizations to strengthen environmental and development efforts in the region.
