Energy Investors Association-Aswan organizes a training course on “Skills of Collecting and Preserving Wild Plant Seeds”.

As part of the implementation of the third phase of the Small-Scale Initiatives Program for Civil Society Organizations in North Africa (PPI OSCAN3), which is conducted in partnership between the Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) – Mediterranean Cooperation Center, the Energy Investors Association in Benban, Aswan, organized a training session titled “Collecting and Preserving Wild Plant Seeds Skills”.

 

The session aimed to train participants on specialized technical methods for collecting and preserving wild plant seeds, which is a critical step in the “Nile Basin Seed Bank” project. This project seeks to enhance environmental restoration efforts and biodiversity conservation. Environmental experts participating in the session highlighted that wild plants are an essential component of ecosystem sustainability and that collecting and preserving their seeds scientifically requires expertise and specialized knowledge to maximize their use in environmental restoration projects.
