The “Water and Environment Support for Biodiversity and Climate Action (WES-BCA)” project held a preparatory online meeting to discuss the support provided to the Environment Quality Authority in Palestine for the preparation of the Seventh National Report to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).

The objective of this WES-BCA activity is to provide targeted support to Palestine in aligning with the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and Mediterranean biodiversity commitments. This aims to ensure active contributions to the preparation of the Seventh National Report, scheduled to be submitted to the CBD Secretariat in February 2026.

According to a statement issued by the WES-BCA project, this activity is being implemented in collaboration with the Environment Quality Authority in Palestine. During the meeting, the project’s team of environmental experts presented the proposed future work plan. Participants also discussed various issues raised with key stakeholders.
