Coordination Meeting Between RAED and Tanta University Within the Framework of the Drought Resilience Enhancement Project
As part of the partnership between the Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED) and Tanta University, a coordination meeting was held at the Faculty of Engineering. The meeting reviewed and discussed key activities and future steps within the “Enhancing Community Resilience to Drought” project, implemented in partnership with the Dutch Water Institute.
Discussions focused on several core points, including the development of effective strategies to address drought-related challenges. Emphasis was placed on integrating local and traditional knowledge with modern technologies and smart water management tools to ensure socially equitable resource allocation—one of the project’s primary goals. Key activities and future steps for the project were also deliberated.
This meeting represents a significant step toward strengthening collaboration between RAED and Tanta University to achieve the objectives of the drought resilience project. The project aims to build the capacity of local communities in the Delta region to confront drought challenges and adapt to the escalating impacts of climate change.
