The project has supported the integration of sustainable water management approaches into regional and national development policies and has helped to study the selected aspects of water resources management in greater depth, including lessons learned from the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive.
The project also contributed to the implementation of awareness raising and capacity-building activities among decision-makers, mid-level managers and relevant stakeholders. It has also contributed to the identification and dissemination of good practices, and helped project pilots to implement more sustainable models of water consumption and to adopt solutions to meet current and future challenges.
