In 1995, the League of Arab States LAS recognized RAED and designated it to be observant in the Council of Arab Ministers responsible for the Environment“CAMRE”. Accordingly it participates with the Technical General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers by a delegate to attend all the meeting held by RAED, as well as in the Board of Director meetings. Also RAED was elected to be NGOs’ representative in Formation of the environment executive body in the Arab world.
In September 2006, the League of Arab States’ Socio-Economic Council approved to grantee RAED as observer and participant in the Council meetings and in its organs. As well as RAED has gained the observer status in the Council of Arab Water Ministers, It also actively participates in the meetings of its Standing Scientific Committee.
