At the international level, the United Nations UN has agreed to grant the consultative status of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations General Assembly ECOSOC to RAED as a regional organization representing the Arab region. RAED also represents Arab NGOs in the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia ESCWA
