The United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development – or Rio+20 – took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 20-22 June 2012. It resulted in a focused political outcome document which contains clear and practical measures for implementing sustainable development.
RAED participated by:
- Discussing immigration as a result of climate change and it’s effects on socio-economic development in the Arab region.
- Discussing immigration due to natural disasters in the sustainable development agenda.
- Discussion on health safety for development in the changing Arab world.
- Discussion around the changes and challenges available for green development in the Mediterranean.
